Christy Rossi, formerly a paralegal, found her true calling when she started designing and printing a few shirts for her gym friends. Eight years later, she runs a successful small screen printing shop sporting an automatic press, manual press, a multihead embroidery machine and some heat seal machines.

She still prints for lots of gyms but is slowly growing her base to include other small businesses and corporate clients in the Charlotte, N.C. area. Rossi takes pride in her willingness to get to know each client and their needs.

With employees varying from two to three, not counting herself, she has found hiring moms and other small-business owners looking for side work as the best solution to keeping her shop humming. She tries to ensure that all staff have a great life/work balance.
