Steven Farag, co-owner, Campus Ink, started selling decorated apparel in 2012 while still in college and has never looked back. He purchased a small print shop in 2015, and today, the company services the collegiate market on the national level. Thanks to an investment from Mark Cuban, it has begun building “Name, Image, and Likeness” licensed merch platforms for Universities so that athletes can share in the profits.
Targeting college students, athletes and fans, Campus Ink has a 14,000-square-foot production facility in Urbana, Ill., and a corporate office in Chicago. With over 30 employees Campus Ink offers screen printing, DTF and embroidery inhouse. They have created a private label jersey line and also offer promotional products and graphics including signs, banners and stickers.
Farag and the team have built a platform rooted in education. Their platform provides state of-the-art training to students in design, sales and marketing, and their sales force is made up of over 170 students on 45 campuses in the United States. Through their platform Campus Ink pays out over a half million dollars a year to athletes and students.
